How do we manufacture?
We manufacture our products locally.
In collaboration with several suppliers located within a 30 km radius of us.
Wood sourced in France and worked responsibly. We typically meet manufacturers at the source to ensure the products are designed to our expectations.
We work in a short supply chain with 4 carpentries, 3 ESAT (establishments and services that assist through work), a foam manufacturer, seamstresses, and a cardboard factory.
A simple and effective ecosystem.
Our production chain is ultimately a local network that brings together active forces and artisanal skills.

The origins
Combeing is a French company founded in 2015
The story begins with a need from Jacques, one of the two founders of Combeing. He wanted to find a setup for his vehicle to go away for the weekend, on a road trip, or for sports outings...
The travel box solutions are removable and more or less suitable, but the installation is lengthy, impossible to do alone, offers little storage, and the living space is outside, which is a problem on rainy days...
Jacques was looking for a modular and removable solution that would allow him to adapt to each use, without effort, without tools, and in a short amount of time.
Not finding any solution on the market, Jacques created the CoMBEING concept and filed the patent...
He manufactures a prototype of a technical floor that allows for positioning and securing storage modules, wheel arch modules, and comfort modules (toilets, gas burners). The idea is to have a modular installation, easy to install or uninstall, suitable for all vehicles, and kits that can be reused from one vehicle to another.
Between 2015 and 2016, Jacques meets Alain, the manager of a carpentry, to manufacture various elements of the kit. The new partners and a team of curious onlookers, intrigued by this invention, improve the prototype, select materials, and conduct tests...
From the launch of the commercialization, the kits have undoubtedly been popular; each year, word of mouth does its work.
Today
The year 2021 was the year of transition for Jacques and Alain.
The desire for new, more peaceful experiences, after many years of investing 100% in various projects.
A new breath for Combeing, a team that is growing, but the projects remain collaborative. Nothing has changed; we are still looking for new improvements, better finishes, more proximity, more meaning... A consistently positive atmosphere full of enthusiasm.
