A Safe Battery

This EcoFlow portable power station battery uses a chemistry known as Lithium-ion (Li-ion) Iron Phosphate, also referred to as LiFePO4 or LFP (learn more about this technology here). It is currently the safest type of battery on the market.

As a van or camper is a confined and relatively small space, this accumulator represents the best in terms of safety. This technology is recognized for its very low risk of thermal runaway, and it is the choice we made to greatly limit the risk of explosion and fire.

In addition to this thermal stability, the battery is smart and knows how to power all connected devices at their correct values. With this system, there are no loose wires, no faulty contacts, and no direct connections to the vehicle's battery, for example. As proof of quality and safety, the EcoFlow River 2 Pro is also the first portable power station in the world to receive the TÜV Rheinland safety certification. In terms of safety, it doesn't get any better!

A Durable Battery

With this EcoFlow River 2 Pro portable power station, the word "durable" takes on multiple meanings. The first refers to ecological sustainability, being favorable to the environment. Indeed, this component is among the few batteries that do not contain high-toxicity materials. It is therefore more environmentally friendly than other types of batteries based on lead, cadmium, or cobalt.

The second meaning of "durable" also concerns longevity and lifespan. According to the manufacturer, EcoFlow technology allows for 10 years of use, which is 6 times the industry average. The lifespan in terms of cycles is also significant, with over 3000 cycles expected. Therefore, this EcoFlow River 2 Pro battery represents a genuine long-term investment.

It's worth noting that even uses considered harmful for certain types of batteries, such as vibrations or complete recharges to 100%, do not significantly impact its longevity.

A High-Performance Battery

The River 2 Pro also delivers power; the numbers speak for themselves. Its large capacity is 768 Wh with an output of 800 W. It features X-Boost technology, allowing it to reach a power of 1600 W to power more demanding devices such as a microwave that requires a lot of energy or an electric kettle, for example.

This accumulator can easily power our compression cooler for several hours, as well as charge your mobile phones, laptops, etc. EcoFlow states on its website that a laptop (60W) can be charged 10 times, that a smartphone (11W) can be charged 57 times, or that a 500W blender can operate for over an hour without interruption.

Performance is also reflected in the recharge time. Expect only 70 minutes to go from 0% to 100%! Obviously, the internal chemistry used (LFP) plays a crucial role in the performance of these batteries, providing, among other things (price, lifespan, TÜV Rheinland certification, autonomy...) a very good energy density.

This EcoFlow River 2 Pro portable power station also stands out with other technical features such as a low self-discharge rate, a stable output voltage (even when the remaining percentage is low), advanced cooling technology, and a low noise level (62 dB maximum under high power and high outside temperatures). Performance that meets our expectations and those of our community!

A Practical Battery

These batteries also had to be practical for their use. For this, EcoFlow has paid attention to the product's dimensions so that it is not too bulky. It measures 270 x 260 x 226 mm with a weight of 7.8 kg. Other practical features include multiple input ports (such as a cigarette lighter socket) and very few buttons. Indeed, the EcoFlow River 2 Pro portable power station is designed to be easy to use, which is why everything has been thought out to be straightforward and intuitive.

For the "invisible" practical aspects, we can mention the control of the EcoFlow River 2 Pro battery via the WiFi or Bluetooth app (thus at your fingertips), 100% recharges allowed (without detriment to the chemistry of the battery/power station), or an intuitive menu with indicators of remaining usage time in minutes based on current connections (very handy!). Additionally, two other points are very practical: the accepted storage temperatures are wide, from -10°C to 45°C (20°C to 30°C recommended), and the 4 possible charging methods:
