Using it is simple; just install the regulator kit provided with its flexible hose and clamps.
We recommend following these 4 steps:
- Heat both ends of the hose by soaking them in very hot water for a few minutes.
- Insert one end into the stainless steel tube located under the built-in cooking area.
- Secure the hose to the stainless steel tube with a clamp.
- Insert the other end of the hose onto the regulator (provided).
- Secure the hose (at the regulator end this time) with the second clamp.
You can now connect your R901 or R904 gas bottle.

Better than a Camping Kitchenette
When the weather is nice, we usually cook outside the camper van to:
- Avoid odors inside the van (especially in the mattresses)
- Prevent increased humidity inside the camper van due to cooking steam
- Have more space to cook while being able to stand, even without a pop-up roof
- Simply enjoy the sunshine and the outdoors provided by nature
With this removable kitchen unit for vans, it's easy to take it outside by simply unscrewing a butterfly screw; in 20 seconds, you can move it like any small camping stove.
A Kitchen Inside the Van in Case of Rain
In rainy weather, you can cook inside, just like in a motorhome, by positioning the kitchen unit in the designated space.
It is also possible to position the removable kitchen unit at the back of the van if you have a tailgate to protect you from the elements.
However, be cautious in strong winds, which can make cooking at the back of the van tedious. That’s why we prefer to cook inside the van when it rains.
Where to Find an R901 or R904 Gas Bottle?
This kitchen unit for vans is designed to accommodate an R901 or R904 gas bottle (the latter offering greater gas autonomy for cooking).
These bottles are manufactured by Campingaz, and to recharge them, you just need to exchange your empty bottle for a full one at a store, paying only the recharge cost in over 120 countries worldwide.
We usually prefer to use 2 R901 gas bottles (instead of the R904 bottle), which ensures we are never out of gas while cooking. You just need to replace the emptied R901 with a full gas bottle. With an R904 gas bottle, you would have to obtain another one from a store.
