A Simple Sink Design

To align with our Combeing kit users, we were looking for a simple, practical, and reasonably priced sink. Running water, a faucet, and jugs are the only desired components: no electric pump or battery required. After extensive testing, we were captivated by the sink from Boxio, a small German camping equipment manufacturer. To get the water flowing from the faucet, simply press the hand pump 2-3 times to build pressure and draw from the clean water jug (5L capacity). Wastewater is then drained simply by gravity into another 5L jug designed specifically for that purpose.

In summary: 2 hoses, 2 jugs, a hand pump, a faucet, and a box to contain everything. (Accessories like filters or plugs are included in addition to the previous components). Simplicity at its finest!

A Compact and Portable Sink

The sink is designed to fit inside a plastic box measuring 400x300x280mm (LxWxH with lid). With its simple and compact design, it is easy to store and/or stack anywhere, yet large enough to comfortably wash dishes. Set up in under 10 seconds, these sinks can be easily transported, whether inside a van or on an outdoor table, for example.

These affordable portable sinks also come with a lid that can be closed after folding the hand pump and faucet. It is of course possible to store this small kitchen component in a Combeing box, making it practical and clever for your travels. After a thorough study, we selected these items from a range of kitchen sinks for vans and converted vehicles.

A Robust and Durable Sink

Boxio also offers robust products that are part of a sustainable initiative at a fair price. The faucet, for instance, is very sturdy, thanks in part to its material: stainless steel. The plastic box is also very strong as it is identical to another product in the range used for seating. The thickness of the plastic and its multiple reinforcements make this ergonomic and minimalist sink robust and durable.

Furthermore, in addition to a selection of specific materials, the Boxio product is sustainable due to its long lifespan and the use of recycled plastic. Indeed, with such a simple operating principle, the risks of defects are reduced. This low-consumption sink is therefore capable of withstanding sometimes harsh conditions while being eco-friendly.

Hygienic Sinks

Designed for various uses, this sink also has the advantage of being hygienic. Indeed, for use in a confined space, such as in a van, it is important to avoid unpleasant odors. To prevent food waste from decomposing in the wastewater jug, simply ensure that you do not leave leftovers inside. A filter is provided with the sink to separate liquids from solids. There is also a drain plug to stop potential odors or hold water for washing dishes.

Of course, as mentioned earlier, clean and dirty water are separated in two distinct 5L jugs. For larger amounts of water (showers or cleaning sports equipment, for example), we recommend our portable shower, a complementary accessory for such needs.

Finally, this sink is practical and hygienic as it can be easily cleaned, under a shower, with a water jet, or otherwise. It is also possible to fully submerge the product in water for quick and efficient cleaning!

Components of the Product

Of course, with the purchase of the BOXIO Eurobox Sink with Lid, other necessary accessories are included. Among them is the sink insert commonly referred to as the "bowl". Additionally, you will receive two 5-liter tanks each (for fresh and wastewater), as well as hoses and a fitting to connect the faucet and the manual pump to the fresh water tank.

For the fresh water tank, you will also find 2 screw caps (1 sealed, 1 lid for the tank connector). For the wastewater tank, it includes 2 screw caps (1 sealed for splash protection, 1 with a sealing membrane).

Finally, the last two components of this product are a strainer for drainage and a drain plug.

An essential accessory for all your excursions, these sinks can follow you anywhere (van, caravan, camping car, garden, leisure vehicle, outdoor kitchen, camping site, makeshift kitchen, etc.). They meet your water needs in your van, all at a low price and without the need to build large, cumbersome furniture with a countertop, for example. A bonus of comfort, like at home, in the "kitchen" of your vehicle, these faucets are the result of our selection and provide a practical solution for washing dishes anywhere.

Even though the selected materials are very durable, it is recommended to purge the hoses in case of heavy exposure to cold. It is also advisable not to fill the tanks to full capacity and to disconnect the faucet when temperatures are below freezing to preserve the entire sink.
