Sleeping with Your Bike or Motorcycle in Your Converted Crafter
Yes, this is one of the advantages of our Crafter campervan – you can install a bike rack or motorcycle attachment on our technical flooring.
This allows you to travel and sleep with your sports equipment inside.

A Converted Crafter Minibus or Combi
For minibus or combi Crafter models, it is also possible to convert them into a camper van.
Several options are available to you:
- Remove the rear benches when converting your Crafter into a van, and simply replace the seats during the week to transport people.
- You can also keep one rear bench and convert your Combi behind that bench.

Converted Crafter Extended Cab
For the extended cab version, we also have a solution, regardless of your Crafter's length.
As a reminder, the extended cab Crafter features a partition between the cargo area and the rear bench seat of the van.

More Examples of Converted Crafter Vans
E-Crafter, an Electric Volkswagen Crafter Converted into a Van
And for the electric Crafter version, it’s the same – the engine technology doesn't matter to us:

Yes, it is indeed possible to convert your e-Crafter electric van into a camper with the Combeing conversion kit.
The Volkswagen Grand California
We must also present the model offered by Volkswagen themselves: the Grand California, a camper van based on the Crafter.
As for the price, you’ll need about €85,000 to own one of these converted vans.
That's why we always recommend thinking carefully first. Will you live in your van all year round? Or will it be a secondary vehicle, in which case you need to consider the extra costs (registration, insurance, repairs, etc.)?
For the looks, we have to admit, this Crafter conversion is simple:

The Balcamp Crafter 720 GFK
If you prefer a solution at €98,000, for example, if you want to live in your camper van 365 days a year:
You could opt for the converted Crafter solution offered by the Polish company Balcamp.
This camper van features a raised roof, a permanent 200x177 cm bed, a 195x120 cm overhead bed, several storage cabinets, and a seating area for the lounge.

The Hobby Maxia Van
Here too, you'll need a minimum of €100,000 for this camper van offered by the German manufacturer Hobby, still based on the Volkswagen Crafter.
Inside the Crafter converted into a van, you’ll find the same features as the previous models, although we must admit, the quality of the materials used is top-notch.
Designed for a couple, with a large 200x860 cm double bed, natural materials, and a clean design with sleek finishes.

What is the Price of a Converted Volkswagen Crafter?
It all depends on the solution you prefer from this article.
With the Combeing solution, you’ll need to budget €3,000-4,000 for your converted Crafter.
However, if you want a custom-made camper van on the market, expect to pay at least €85,000.
Once again, we recommend assessing your medium- and long-term goals.
If you're not sure about living full-time in your van, or if you're unsure about committing to van life, perhaps you should consider a less expensive option initially. If you don't want to buy a Combeing conversion kit, renting a converted Crafter might be the right choice to try van life for 1 or 2 weeks.
